Some yards have elevation changes that just make getting around a hassle - or worse, a safety issue. No clear path, no safe footing, just an uneven slope that nobody wants to deal with. That's exactly the kind of problem a well-built set of landscaping stairs solves.
Here's where we're at with this one. The framing is in, the pressure-treated timber is squared up and leveled, and the step boxes are taking shape nicely. Weed barrier is already laid in between the framing, which means we're doing things right from the ground up - not cutting corners you won't see until later.
This is the part of land development work that matters most. Getting the foundation and framing dialed in before anything else. If the base isn't solid and level, nothing else holds up long-term. We use a level on every single run, and the fit between each timber course speaks for itself.
Stairs like these do more than just look good. They give you safe, reliable access across a sloped yard, they hold the surrounding soil in place, and they add real structure to an outdoor space. Once filled and finished, this set is going to be a serious upgrade for how this yard functions day to day.
We're not done yet - stay tuned for the finished result. This one's coming together exactly the way it should.
