When someone's aging parent or family member is moving in, the bathroom becomes one of the first things that needs a hard look. It has to be safe, easy to use, and still feel like a real space - not a clinical afterthought. That's exactly the kind of thinking that went into this mother-in-law suite shower build.
We designed and built this shower from the ground up with daily comfort in mind. The built-in bench gives a safe, stable place to sit. The grab bar runs wall to wall at a usable height. The handheld showerhead on a slide bar means the person using it stays in control of the spray, whether they're standing or seated. Every one of those details was a deliberate choice.
The tile work ties the whole thing together. We used a large-format stone-look tile on the walls with a smaller mosaic tile on the floor - that mix gives the space a finished, high-end look while the smaller floor tile actually helps with grip and slip resistance. Two recessed niches keep toiletries off the floor and out of the way. Clean lines, no clutter.
This is the kind of bathroom remodel that adds real value to a home - not just in dollars, but in day-to-day quality of life. Whether you're planning a full bathroom remodel, building out a suite addition, or rethinking a space for accessibility, we build it to work well and hold up long term.
