A Custom Primary Shower Build Taking Shape

Here's a look at a primary shower build mid-process - right at that exciting stage where all the planning starts to become real. The tile is set, the niche is framed in, and the corner seat is in place. You can already get a strong sense of where this is headed.

We went with large-format marble-look porcelain tile on the walls. It's a smart choice - it gives you that high-end stone look without the maintenance headaches that come with natural marble. The veining runs consistently across each panel, and the tight grout lines keep it clean and intentional.

The floor of the shower pan is tiled with small penny round mosaic tile. That's not just a style decision - smaller tiles on a shower floor mean more grout lines, which actually gives your feet better grip. Form and function working together.

Details like the built-in recessed niche and the angled corner seat aren't afterthoughts. They get planned before a single tile goes up. That's the difference between a shower that just looks good and one that actually works well every single day.
